Marriage is a very serious issue, and it takes a lot of planning and thinking to want to settle down with just one person for the rest of your life.
There are some celebrities who for one reason or the other canceled their wedding plans after their engagement. They met people who they felt they would marry, got engaged to them, but, unfortunately, something came up, and their plans of getting married crashed.

1. Seyi Shay
Popular Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay, got engaged to her longtime boyfriend in 2019. She revealed this in an interview, saying that initially, the wedding was canceled and postponed due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
Later on, the wedding had to be completely canceled because she caught her man cheating and had to part ways with him.
The singer added that she actually walked in on her fiancé cheating.
2. Jennifer Lopez
Popular American singer and actress, Jennifer Lopez, also had to call off her wedding with actor, Ben Affleck. This happened 4 days before their wedding.
They initially postponed the wedding due to the excessive media attention they were getting, according to the couple. Unfortunately, the wedding didn’t later take place as they both ended the relationship.
3. Alex Ekubo
In 2021, Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo, was going to get married to her then-fiancee, Fancy Acholonu.
After the news of their engagement hit the internet, and a lot of fans started looking forward to their wedding date which was ready picked, the two took to their page to publicly call off the wedding. They urge the fans to respect their privacy.
4. Lady Gaga
In 2016, American singer, Lady Gaga, had to call off her wedding with her fiance, Taylor, who is a popular actor.
She had initially revealed that they were planning a family-style wedding.
Four months after revealing this plan, the couple scrapped their engagement and called off their wedding.
Popular Nigerian artiste, Davido, also had his wedding canceled. He was engaged to a popular chef, Chioma, and, according to Davido, they had fixed the wedding on July 2020.
They initially had to cancel it because of the pandemic/lockdown. The wedding was postponed to 2021, but, sadly, it was never held.
